Suhail  is from India, grew up as a missionary kid, and has lived in seven countries. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two wondrous children: a daughter named Anaya and a son named Marcus. They live in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Suhail did his undergraduate studies in English Literature and Philosophy at Wheaton College and completed his master's in Community Leadership and Philanthropy Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

He is a spiritual director, accompanies people through both the 19th and 18th Annotations of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, and is a teacher in Sustainable Faith's School of Spiritual Direction. He's also the founder and director of the School of Mercy and Justice.

In 2019, he planted West End Abbey – a contemplative Vineyard church in Winnipeg's West End – and serves as the lead pastor. He has been part of the Vineyard since 2001, leading worship and pastoring at a few different Vineyards in Illinois, Hong Kong, and Winnipeg respectively. Currently, he serves on the national team for Vineyard Canada as both a catalyst for spiritual formation and as a member of the national counsel.

Lately, he's quite taken by St. John of the Cross and has a generally reliable love for film, music, reading, writing, travel, and football (FC Barcelona!).
