It's been a few months since our annual 10 day time of prayer and fasting. Over the last few years, we have discovered that coming together online each morning for 45 minutes around liturgical reflection, worship, waiting and prayer, has been a real gift and special time of connection for many people. The template we've developed is working so well, and we've have such positive feedback, that we wanted to step into a similar space a few more times throughout the year.
As we looked over the rhythms of church life within Vineyard Canada, and taking a nod from the Church Calendar, we are delighted to announce that we'll be hosting several Zoom Room spaces for prayer and devotion throughout the rest of '24. We'll come together on a Wednesday through Friday, same times and same format as our prayer and fasting routine, leading into Pentecost Weekend; in mid-September as many of our communities are re-calibrating after summer and heading into their fall/winter schedules; and one more just before the Advent Season begins at the end of November.

Across the country, we are exploring what it means to be re-animated regarding our sense of mission, discipleship and the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus. As we lean into what this could mean for us as a national family, there are three key queries we are bringing before the Holy Spirit and each other this year. What does it mean to be a people of hope; a people of healing; and a people given to hospitality? We will be unpacking these themes across the country over the rest of this year, and these online times of reflection and connection will be anchored to these as well. As we head into Pentecost we will be reflecting on what it means to be a people of hope. As we head into the fall season, we'll be exploring what it means to be a people of hospitality. Coming into the Advent Season we will be pondering what it means to be a people of healing.
